Implemented an FPGA controller to run motion control on 4 stepper motors, the show creators wanted a large clock that operated like a real one, literally needed to look like it was "ticking" geared stepper motors and code implemented the a huge egg timer for the shows count-down.

A side project for my Dad, a 4 foot long Aluminum drum roller to help load a boat over the back side of the camper roof.  Turned 6061-T6 aluminum and ball bearings.

I designed a printed pcb winding motor, each pcb has routed windings that sandwiched in series with each layer of another pcb.  The rotors are Rare earth NdFeB magnets press fitted into 3D printed rotor housings. stacked and air cooled. Electromganetics fun stuff

before the 6061-T6 aluminum tubes and plate were TIG welded, this was so the fireworks went high enough nobody knew where they came from ;)  The bottom plated was CNC milled to encapsulate the tube ends to suppert the higher pressure side of the tube.

4 layer PCB design, FPGA controller with IR motion controller for VFD. FPGA programming to implament cutting edge operational features not known in the motor control industry to silently operate the variable speed drive to use higher frequency inverter switching to quite the motor during low speed and lower the frequency to improve efficieny during high power.

Designed a 24" x 4" gas charged lighting tube with electrodes for special effects.

Designed a camera mount for a Phantom Flex4K, used on a 6 axis Kuka robot for a film shoot, underwater effects, using periscope lens. Designed in the morning, fabricated that afternoon, shot with it the next day.
